It has been a hectic week for students, both at school, as well as at TM. It is barely into the 2nd week of school and homework and pressure have been piling up. I understand the immense pressure you students are facing but I reckon this is what you call the pressure cooker of the education system of Singapore.
Nevertheless, I assure you that you are not alone. We, at TM, face similar situation as well. In fact, we have to worry about every student who has been entrusted to us. So, do understand that when we put on pressure on you to do well, we are doing it for your own good. In this society which puts strong emphasis on paper qualification, we would like to do our utmost to ensure that you, students, are on the right track in your quest. Keep up the good work for those who have been performing well. As for the weaker ones, we have not forgotten you, and never will we give up on you.... unless of course, you have given up on yourself.
As mentioned before and again, we do not just look into the welfare of your academic pursuit, but also into other aspects. We do bother about your well-being and that is why, we make it a point to remember each child's birthday. Just on Wednesday before the lesson rolled off, we celebrated Sing Ning's birthday. We decided to abandon the pizza and stuffed ourselves with a rich chocolate cake instead. Below shows the cheerful faces of the birthday girl and her friends... hope you enjoyed yourself and like the present we gave you.
Last but not least, do study hard and make good use of the weekends. Cheers to all!
